There are 2 Dogs on our property. Leon and Nellie are blessed with Avery, rescued yellow lab, and our wonderful rescued dog, Jed,
our one-eyed fella who happily adopted us.
* FYI: For those of you who visited us and remember Whitman, our beloved lab, and Lily, our
sweet Jack Russell terrier, they both have passed away. I am sure they are both happy to be back together again.
** Do NOT BUY a cat or dog when the shelters are full!! So many beautiful animals are in desperate need a Loving Family.
Please, Adopt a Rescue or Shelter animal and give them a Forever Home. You'll all be happy you did! Our family
wouldn't be complete without Our Rescued fur babies!
Your Innkeepers have wonderful culinary skills that will delight you every morning! We began Hot Rize Bagel Café in Merrimack New Hampshire from scratch, and had to expand! It was extremely successful so we bought the entire mall building! If you're in that area, and love bagels, be sure to stop by and tell them that we sent you.

A bit about us:
Leon graduated from the prestigious Franklin Pierce College and was formerly a lithographer. For years, he felt an underlying desire to start his own
business. He trusted his gut, and let his entrepreneurial spirit lead him to design and open the Hot Rize Café from its inception. His wife Nellie, a wonderfully brilliant woman, graduated from Smith College with a Master’s in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She was a well-loved Biology teacher for sixteen years at a High School in MA. Nellie helped Leon at the cafe during the early years. Their business was a huge success! Nellie decided to quit teaching and join her husband as the full time Hot Rize manager. Best decision ever! They found they work fabulously together, which made them a hit!
Truly, this couple are such friendly, down to earth folks. After a decade, they decided it was time to start another new adventure, so they moved further up north in New Hampshire. They found the perfect place to start up their newest endeavor, renovating and opening an old time, authentic 1890's Bed and Breakfast, and named it Spruce Moose Lodge!
Together, with their dedicated discipline, expertise and love, they provide their guests with a relaxing, wonderful mountain inn getaway experience. |
